yes..even if u marry a citizen while u r on J1 the condition to return to home country for 2 years would still apply to u..so b careful while applying for J1. good luck

even i came to know of that. its rather better to wait for a year, get married get work permit, get a residency then to get a J1. if i were u i wld do that...

if u already have a fiance who is citizen, why dont she sponsor u on k1 fiance visa and then u can get married.

ok...so H1 is safe..not J1 can u get H1 eaisly....isnt it hard to get...i wasnt aplying for this coz i was thinking i wont get it...but now i wud hv to can anyone tell me...if u apply gor H1....u shud hv ur all steps result in hand including step 3...or u can apply for H1 while still waiting for the step 3 result?...like if i apply in july next yr...i shud hv step 3 cleared till july 2006...???????????????

guys plzz respond... its strange aint it...if u get green card...meanwhile...still u hv to leave the country for 2 yrs wt if u r citizen afterwards(b4 J1 expires)....still hv to leave country ???? im bothering alot u guys...but actually there r very few hosp offering H1...dats y i was trying to get J1 and come to usa...which seems difficult now

Its simple man J1=waiver no way around it (but easier to get). Waiver means working in a underserved area or going back to your home country for 2 years.If you take J1 even for 1 day you are bound by the rule. H1 means you can apply for a green card afterwards (dual intent visa). You can change it to any visa of your choice. can anyone tell me...if u apply gor H1....u shud hv ur all steps result in hand including step 3...or u can apply for H1 while still waiting for the step 3 result?...like if i apply in july next yr...i shud hv step 3 cleared till july 2006.. most hospitals would like you to have passed the step 3 or at least have the result by march. This is necessary because you need to have passed step 3 when you apply for visa after the match.... Really depends on the hospital. your post was difficult to read because you used too many abbreviations. They are good on a mobile phone or a messenger but not when writing a letter.
