JOB TITLE: Research Fellow in Neuroimaging and Multiple Sclerosis
at Brigham/Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School
DEPARTMENT: Neurology
UNIT or SECTION: Center for Neurological Imaging
REPORTS TO: Rohit Bakshi, MD, FAAN (http://www.drbakshi.com)

GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

Full-time research fellow needed for MRI studies examining the imaging correlates of neurologic impairment in patients with multiple sclerosis. Responsibilities include assistance with recruiting participants, data processing, archiving, storage, computer analysis, and assisting with IRB documentation and research reports. A two-year commitment is required beginning immediately. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
Some familiarity with UNIX is desirable
Some prior research experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Familiarity with basic neuroanatomy and neurology
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to identify potential problems and develop solutions
Ability to work independently once trained
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Ability to work with and supervise others

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications: M.D., Ph.D or equivalent with background in neurology and neuroscience
Willing to work under green card or J-1 visa (H-1 visa not provided)
Willing to accept a full time two year commitment

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal laboratory environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
May supervise undergraduate, graduate student, or post-graduate resident or fellow
