dear all,
i am an img, step1 score 89, step 2 score 97, step 2 cs passed, ecfmg certified. grad dec 2001. i applied to 26 programs on 22nd sptember. i have received 6 rejections and no interviews. i am so worried that i don't know what to do? not even one interview....i don't know what should be my next step....i have applied to paeds and internal medicine.
plase give me your honest opinion.

you should try to apply more programs, maybe around 50?

try some community programmes if u have not applied as of yet...

my problem is that i can only apply around the texas area coz of personal reasons...this was all the number of programs i could come up with. i applied to all programs ...what do i do now

i guess its a check and mate situation....
i wld say relax and with the great scores that u have patience will eventually pay....

most of my invitations are in north,inspite of my wish to be in south.

Call up the hospital closest to you and tell them you want to do your residency from there as you live close by......and have no interest in any other residency program(which is the truth!).If they understand your situation they may extend an invitation to you......you do have good credentials!

until when can we hope for interview invitations. seem like the programs r not responding as quickly as we thought. i m not getting much interviews nor rejections.

apply in fp and psych and path too if u have interest in those branches.. otherwise just hang on
