Hi everyone, just have one question. My medical school sent my verification papers to ecfmg and they received it on oct 7. Called today and said they didn't receive them, I'm freaking out, what should I do????????

huh? when you said "they received it on oct 7", do you mean ecfmg received it, and you had confirmation of receipt?
It does take a while for ecfmg to verify the credentials...i think mine took a couple of months before they updated it in my file to say "verified". I think I even had to remind them by email that my documents were sent earlier that year and that I was worried that they haven't gotten around to verifying it yet. The next day, my OASIS file was updated to "Medical credentials received and verified" 
You should try calling again...next time, for any important documentation, i suggest keep the originals with you, or make photocopies of every form or document you send out. Then at the post office, get some type of certified mail that allows you to track or confirm if the letter was received, and have someone sign for them. Most of these agencies do not take time to acknowledge receipt of documents, so for you peace of mind, spend a little extra and send the documents out with confirmation or tracking numbers

Thanks for your reply,
What I meant to say is that my medical sent out the papers via fedex. I managed to get a hold of the confirmation number, that's how I learned that the papers arrived at ecfmg on oct 7.

Hey Hi,
I had the same problemo too..i used fed ex and mine reached on 10th oct ,,so called up them and spoke .The rep told she didnt receive i told the rep that i have the signature proof which i took a print out of the fed ex ...then the rep told taht it takes 10 wrking day fr them to scan and only then they can check mine..so the ecfmg rep asked me to call bck next wek friday...ECFMG is slower than a snail and we need to keep pestering them a bit!!!

Called ECFMG on friday and was told the same to call back on friday...... guess will have to keep on waiting.....................and waiting........

ecfmg is a gathering of idiots playing catch with our papers.
someone should sue them. or we should complain to district attorney or someone, because theyre doing an awful job.

I logged in to oasis today and this came up "Medical education credentials received and verified", what does this mean? how much longer to be certified?????.......thanks

It may take around 2 weeks.That's how long it took me, to receive mine.
