hi guys,
i have my step 2 scheduled for the end of october and right now i am just going nuttttts!(i hope i am not suffering from that Trichotillomania coz that is pretty close to how i am behaving of late).i had to prepare for a little less than 2 1/2 months which again is scaring me.
is there anyone else out there giving the exam close by!my UW is close to 60 with about 80%complete(timed,random,unused).did kaplan notes a couple of times after watching IM&OB-GYN videos.
can ayone let me know how am i faring?plzzzz any advice will be greatly appreciated.

in the same situation. exam on the 31st.
have completed usw 70% with a average of 63.
have not even gone thro all the notes once... but still gonna go ahead and give the exam..
take the nbme and assess for yourself if u r ready for it...

thank god,now i have someone sailing with me!
i had to prepare all alone coz all my friends r in the u.s and i had to come back to my country (INDIA).was feeling very tensed!
i have my exam on the 29th.i too am gonna go ahead and give it.when is the best time to give nbme.did u give ur's?excuse me if i am being too inquisitive!its just that the exam is making me so restless.

form 1 a month before and form 2 a week before. i gave form1 and did ok on it. plannin to give form 2 on the 20th...

hi,i hear people saying on this forum that the UW is less "picky" than the usmle step 2 .does that mean it is a bit easier or is it harder? than the actual exam.

i think ppl say its more picky then the real exam. what that means is it is a bit tougher then the step2ck...

hmmm,i am afraid not.so u too r planning for the post match huh?i guess that's our only hope (tiny though).lets see but first let get the exam done and then we will see.i have taken the eras token and got registered.i will send all my transcripts,lor's and everything tomorrow.then theycan get scanned by the time i finish the exam.
so take the token,register and send the material if u havent already done that.saves a lot of time.ok

hi drkpp !so hows the goin?hope u r doin fine.
counting the days till doomsday! hey how mcuh time do we have to allot to psych.i kind of read through it onceand i dont have much time to do it completely again.what do u think i should do.one of my friends got his score and he said psych is what pulled him down!!!!!!!!!!!!

pshyc and peds have npt read the kaplan notes even once .
i think i am ok with psych cause did study beh. science really well for step1. and also did watch the kap. tapes. but peds i suck....

i pulled my ck from end Oct to Nov 3rd, i'm getting like b/w 50 ---60 0n uw. I still have to do first reading of surgery ,obs and psych. i've used like 40% of uw as yet....i'm very nervous too. I have to give a 2nd reading to everything before i go in....plus do u have any idea about correlation of uw scores with actaul exam like kaplan had 10 + correlation for qbank. Wish you both good luck!!!!

hi soul,
yeah drkpp is right. everyone who gave the exam says that nbme is the best predictor for u r exam.and i wont dispute them coz it worked for me for step 1.but then i came to know about it very late i.e only a couple of days before the exam.
so do nbme and u will know.
