Hi-

if light palpation causes abd pain in a certain spot, do we do deep light palpation in the same spot? Or should avoid that pain spot in deep palpation? raised eyebrow

if the SP has pain with light palpation then for sure he/she will also have it with deep palpation so only say something like : "it seems it really hurts right here (touching the area lightly)...i am sorry but i have to do this, and ask him/her ...does it hurt more when i push or let go? and push just a little more deeper than light but not too much- then you would have checked light-deep and rebound ... done! dont touch that area anymore!
