Dont buy it. Worthless.
Do the 40 cases which can be downloaded on this website and also any one book
CSA OSCE book is perhaps the best or First AID

USMLEWORLD course is not good. No explanation of cases, videos are bad with horrible resolution and audio is bad as well

Overall if I could, I would 50 Dollars to have access to this forum than usmleworld

shaking head

I agree . I subscribed today and am thinking of how to unscribe it.

ANy way to get some refund?

still wondering how they have highest rating on this website.

They are seriously making fool of people by just transcribing KAPLAN book into a website. That too not all of it.

is 40 cases equilavent to the cases of usmleworld?

just wondering how many cases r there totally in usmleworld and do they come w/ patient note, checklist and son on?

thanks for telling

very similar.

after all, all u need is to practice, and practice.

Now i understand why they don't have a trial or one-day membership...disapproval

I don't agree guys. I took cs in sep6 in chicago. I found USMLEWORLD CS very helpful, both text and videos. maybe your device(PC,lap-top etc) has some prb. I think they give Good amount of data, neat collection of cases and phys exam, for a reasonable price. That was my only source, glad that I used it. Don't feel upset thinking that it is a bad investment. You 'll see in exam that it is very helpful...nodwink

thank you for the information Merih (mainly coming from a guy that have done the test). I have suscribed, iīll review it with more detail.

It is comprehensive, but could be better arranged. Atleast they allow print outs for the cases on Step2 CS - maybe this is a recent development.

anyone else have any other views on UW CS cases?

I have mixed feelings about UW too. I started out using the cases, but didnīt really think they were detailed enough. I really preffered FA ! Some of the videos are good, but if you google enough, youīll find plenty of free exam-videos from US med schools. I did like some of UWīs tips, though. But paying that much $ for a few tips, you can find on other sites, like Digitaldocīs site: http://csprotocol.blogspot.com/ - I donīt think itīs necessary ! But of course UW for CK rocks !!!

Nothing wrong with the USMLE World course. Depends how you plan to study it. IF you sincerely go through the sample cases mentioned there and PRACTICE (try to simulate as much exam conditions as possible) the practice cases given there you will nail the Step 2 CS exam....the selling point of the course is not the videos..it is the short and concise way the cases are dealt with and exactly what relevant questions to ask..I see busy mom's point about the cases being not detailed...well believe me too much details can mess you up in the exam...in fact in actual patient encounters people tend to forget asking such simple things like smoking, drinking history let alone any detailed questions...that is the beauty of this course...I talk from my personal opinion...did just USMLE world and never had a trouble with patient encounters.
Hope this different point of view helps

I think UW is a great course. The variety of cases and their presentations, also their different foucs on those cases made stuyding for CS a lot easier. Yes FA is good because it has the list of D/D's and Workups but UW has the videos which show how the physical examination has to be done. It get's right to the point.

FA and UW are the best combo for CS!!!
