Sounds like something out of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

WOW man. That is great. I like that. big word. (but this is simple palidrome I mean mirrored. If you make it upside down it will become W for M and lambda for Y L will be same and A will become something else). But that was excellent. I like that a lot.

Sorry Gurpreet, but SWIMS is only ok for an "upside-down", but it's not a palindrome shaking headsmiling face

try reading it the other way. S will be s, M will become W I will be I M will become W and S will be S. Just try it. I also thought the same as U do. But then I wrote it and tried myself. wink

Gurpreet, there's no way that M can become W or vice versa, if you're reading it horizontally. A palindrome doesn't mean turning the page upside-down - the alphabets don't change shapes in a palindrome - they just appear in the same order whether you read it from left to right or right to left.

A nut for a jar of tuna

A Toyota's a Toyota

A Santa at NASA

Some words: racecar, deed, level, pip, rotor, civic, pop, madam, eye, nun, radar, toot...

My question was if you check the very first post in this forum. If you view M upside down and also from right to left it will look as W.Which word makes a palindrome when viewed upside down and right to left. But you are right man. The palindromes what you wrote are correct. I just wrote a teachers fave brain teaser over here in US in the junior school. A kid asked me this question. I liked it and I posted it here.

And Upside down which I forgot to highlight. Well anj lets not be too serious about this puzzle. Let go. I am sorry. Don't mind please. It is not a palindrome of the DNA sequence, it is just a kindergarden brain teaser over here. You see when you are under stress there is regression which is a defense mech. So it was with me. I was thinking as a kid and posted it here. But I think lets focus more on studies than on this teaser.
