Hi all ,
As one of the post FRED batch, I had to wait longer than usual for my scores. Am glad to report that the mailman brought good news...:-) I used this forum extensively both for inspiration and support. The advice in various threads was priceless.
I studied for nearly 6 months. Materials I used were:- Kaplan Notes and Videos (Center Prep), UW questionbank, Q Book, Kaplan Sample test, I took both the NBME parts, and I would have to say that the questions in the NBME self assessments were the most like the real exam.
The Exam is extremely comprehensive, so it helps to have the basics of pathophysiology down. I used the step one pathology notes and Goljan Notes also to supplement the Medicine section. Also a quick pharmacology review can only help.
Of course, it is easy to say all this with hindsight, but I was a nervous wreck immediately after the exam. It was extremely difficult to assess my own performance, much in contrast to Step 1. None of the answers seemed absolutely wrong or absolutely correct. I took breaks out of exhaustion after every block. With God's Grace and a lot of luck, things worked out.

Dear Vtach.
Its really very nice to hear about your score and believe me I am very glad that you got such a superb score. I told you after such a wait you will get an extra special score, and guess what, you did get an extra special score.
the mailman also braught me good news. I got 93/230 in my step2. now I wish you and everyone best of luck for the next very important months of our life.
