hi guys,
my questions may sound stupid but plz help me..i am filling online application for step 1 2006...i am not sure abt a few questions regarding dates...i am frm pakistan so our degree is MBBS...
1.Date u completed requirements for final medical diploma? i am thinking mayb this is the date thats on my degree saying the exam was held on e.g september 2001. am i right?
2.Graduation date?..i am thinking the day the result was announced?
3.Date medical diploma issued?..Date along with the signature of vice chancellor on my degree is dec 2002 (which is like one yr after the result was announced)?
Am i right in my assumptions?
Also abt clinical clerkship...do we have to write abt all three yrs all the departments separately...i know how many credit weeks we have to write (as i have my final yr transcript) though i dont remember exact dates..but i can make something up...should i do that?
in pakistan i dont think we r reqd to complete internship before receiving diploma..(assuming that with inetrnship , they r referring to house job).
Guys plz reply n help me...and thankyou in advance MAy God bless ya'll...

1.Date u completed the requirements would be the date your final prof results came out...not the dae the exams were held.
2.yes graduation date is the date your final prof results were announced.
3.That is right too...issue date would be the date your medical diploma has on it.
You need to put in the clinical clerkships for all three years.I am not sure how your college gives you your transcripts...but the transcripts i got from mine had the exact dates of rotations for each year.....If you have any record o your clinical rotationse.g ward cards etc...or if you could check with your college for the dates(they ask you to fill in the dates and months in the application)...i'd suggest you do that.On the other hand if the transcript you have right now would be the same that the college would issue once the ECFMG requests verification...then that would mean it would just list the credit weeks and not the exact dates right?...so probably there would be no harm in making up dates to fit the credit weeks that you have...check on on this just be sure ok?
And yes...the house job is the internship..we are not required to complete that in order to be issued the diploma.

oh and in the degree bit...write...MBBS diploma...that is what is listed in the ECFMG info booklet..
