- Any good reading material available on taking psych history.....I mean something easy and general which can be used in most cases. How to deal with a psychotic patient if he is completely bonkers?? When we write patient note, can we order for keeping a pyschotic patient in hospital against his will.
Psych is surely making me mad

As per everything I have read, it says dont write any kind of management at all in the patient notes...they very specifically mention on the orientation video, dont say admit patient to hospital even if the case should warrant admission. in this exam i dont think you can get a truly psychotic patient. probably the worse thing u will see in depression maybe with suicidal ideation, maybe a schizophrenic but i dont think thats very likely.
