all things considered, do any one know the average number of program that an Internal Med applicant apply to?

i guess it is between 30-35.

what is the highest number so far for a single applicant? I have come across someone in a forum who said s/he applied to almost 200 programs......

just apply to as many as u can afford to or feel comfortable with.. although for an img 50-70s is an appropriate figure to aim for. but its no use applyin to places like st. barnabas ny (do u seriously wanna go there!!!) or johns hopkins (chances r they wont take u)

its an individual thing.. gl
