hello everyone,

i know its been a long long time. its like a second comeback.. AND HOPEFULLY THE LAST ONE!!!!

have been totally involved for the past one month with things besides studies. ( HAVE BEEN TOTALLY CONSUMED BY MY MARRAIGEsad. ACTUALLY THIS SMILEY WOULD BE A BETTER EXPRESSIONwink.

made a new time table and this is how it goes..

feb. 27- mar1 = kap. notes-OBG + kAPLAN qBANK ONLINE Q- obg

mAR2 - MAR3 = K.N.-SUR =KQBANK-SUR

MAR4 = K.N-DIGESTIVE + KAP. QBANK-DIGESTIVE

MAR5 = K.N.-RESPIRATORY + K.QBANK RESP.

MAR6 = K.N.-CARDIOLOGY + KQBANK-CARDIO.

THATS THE GRAND PLAN COMING UP FOR THE WEEK.

HOPE TO FINISH KAP. NOTES ONCE AND KAP. QBANK BY 15TH MARCH. ALREADY DONE WITH PSY. K.N.

SECOND REVISION PLUS USW BY 5TH APRIL.

EXAM ON THE 11TH APRIL TENTATIVELY!!!!! NO, NO, NO-I AM NOT GONNA HISTORY REPEAT IT SELF. THIS IS NO TENTASTIVE DATE, ITS THE FINAL DATE..

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I AM FACING IS A SEVERE LACK OF MOTIVATION. BUT WITH ALL U WONDERFUL PPL OUT THERE I AM SURE I CAN OVERCOME IT...

SO HERE I START MY PREP AGAIN FOR STEP2CK FOR THE FINAL TIME grin.....

first- ARJ, good to know that you are enjoying your public health curriculum.

Achilles- the way you plan to do things and if you stick to them, you will definately get a jordar score!!!!

But folks the key is to stick to the plan. Today was a total waste as my car broke down and took me and my mechanic a good 6 hrs to figure out what was wrong.sad

Anyways, tomorrow is a new day and a new beginning.

time to go to bed as am totally exhausted after pushing the 1500kg machine for a couple of k.m.s..... damn this machinesmadmad

hi guys, the weekend just passes by so quickly...it was'nt the most productive when it came to finishing targets...you were right Drkpp....we need to stick to plans that we make...and this time i sure did'nt...3 days gone and i have managed to finish just 1/2 of surgery...man i am really slow...and thanks for the encouragement Drkpp that i will get a zordar score...but i guess i need to work harder and stick to the plan and meet the deadlines to get anywhere near to that...

how's it going for you guys ?

hey ARJ, good luck for your mid terms...you are doing a tough thing buddy...studying two things together...thats admirable.

gotta make this week really worthwhile.i got to finish surgery in a couple of days and then go on to neurology and make sure the next weekend is more productive(will finish gynaecology during the weekend)

Hello,everybody!

good to see that you are doing good and life is going.

wishing you the best of luck on your preparation.

see u around.

achilles- married life man- umm.. dont even talk about itsad. its a total disaster with the exam lurking over my head. I told my wife that this is just a teaser before the actual movie( meant residency)!!!!!! step1 wasnt as difficult as step2+marraige grin.

anyways,got to do what has to be done. have started the harissons q bank. i like doing questions after reading a topic and this worked well for me in step1 where i would compare robbins question bank with it. difficult but informative...

Alenka- good to have you back. Whats been happening with you? did you take step2ck yet?

I am getting a little impatient since surgery was taking for ever. So hae decided to start with medicine simultaneously. Finished gastro. kap notes and harri qbank. hope to finish digestive kaplan qbank by tomorrow......

I guess shorter goals make you realise your dreams..

hi drkpp, you can surely do it, will be difficult but doable. you will need to stretch your limits somewhat. i guess all of us got a bit busy with our reading and its been a while since i posted something on our post.

my readings have been haphazard but productive. i am taking in concepts and i guess that should help me in the exam. i finished with GIT yesterday and today have started endo. hope to finish it in about 2 days alongwith the 89 questions from UW. and then i will go for infectious diseases.

betcha your wife will be ready to strangle you by the end of this exam for not giving her enough timesmiling face. mine would, she almost did once when she found out that i went out with my cousin(all this while we havent been going out because of my exam and that really got her worked up and i think rightfully so(and no she is not sitting with me right nowsmiling face).

good luck mate !! and lets step it up.

i havent done peads even once till now(i dont know why but i hate that subject)...what do you guys suggest...is there a quick way and an effective way to do it...kaplan seems too long. i was wondering if blueprints alone will be ok or how about FA+blueprints.

have been preparing on and off for almost 11 months now and beleive me still have a phobia for paeds.!!!!! totally useless.....

you are right, gonna get my *** kicked once am done with the test cause have already postponed the test a few timesand still am planning to take it back by another 10 days or so. right now the tentative date is 3rd may.

how about you???? when are you taking your test?????

Yesterday did 50 q's of cardiology from kap. qbank. way to go.......

thanks for the prompt reply drkpp. so what do you suggest, should blue prints be good enough...or i'll just treat UW as a learning tool totally and do peads from there.

managed to finish just 1/2 of endo(man i am really slow) and plan to finish endo by evening and then go to the questions.

i am planning to take my exam sometime around the end of may...this is my second revision going on but i still dont feel very confident so i guess by then i should be able to do another revision of kaplan and also usmleworld.

i wld say stick with usw and anyways there is a lot of overlap b/w medicine and peds. But if you have time and patience then go for blueprints.... n suppose to be good for peds and pbg according to ppls review...

finished with 22% of qbank.... planning on doing 50q,s only for today...mad
