i am touched ! thanks so much for taking the time to come and help me with my review and give me a boost in my study.
i got over with peds and now doing my final revision. hope i get thru with this exam now. for the last couple of days i was also busy with sending applications for my canada osce and medical council of canada qualifying exam part2(last exam of canada) so wasnt actually visiting the forum much. now its the final revision. i plan to do uw questions , about 150/day and go thru my kaplan notes also along the way. lets see what i do with my last 30 days before the exam. planning to take nbme 2 about 3 weeks from now.

almost managed to complete my targets of questions in uw.
got my dental appointment out of the way(root canal Rx) and the canadian exam applications too and now i must concentrate only on usmle(will have to make applications for observerships here in canada though but thats been taken care of by my wife).
must achieve the target of questions in uw today also. i want to finish this exam but in a good way. all this hard work must not go waste.

and good to see yu here regularly cyra hope we can be together here till our exams. i have my exam on 2nd august. hows your revision coming along. hope good and as per your plan.
could not do uw today !! had my dental appointments yesterday and today i was in a lot of pain. but i did go over gynaec kaplan notes(finished hepatology today morning from uw) and plan to finish gynaec by tomm from kaplan and the regular number(150) of uw questions.

ps: i luv donuts  and isnt it ironical that the things we luv are usually not good for health

Hey guys!!! I'm heading to the center. Will write how was it as soon as I can. Achilles, you were preparing for the Canadian exams too!! wow that's great, hats off man!!! Hope you're feeling better achilles.(btw...my avatar is not a donut...hehe...its a cookie!but you're so right about the irony of it all)
I am reviewing psych and am left with epidemiology,the psych drugs and ethics...plus need to go thru UW for it.Hopefully it won't take too long.I saved 4 internal med tests from Q book so I could stay in touch with medicine while I went through other subjects.Did a test today...scored a 78%...read expl to the one I did yesterday.The Q book questions are probably not really representative of the real deal cos they pretty much give away the naswer but the explainations are good.

hey isther, by the time i write this you must have already taken your exam. hope yu did well and 3 weeks from now you will look back at all the effort put in for this exam in a satisfying way. good luck to you my friend.
as for me, the things on my mind right now are been able to focus on my reading which sometimes tends to get slow. and another thing is to be able to sit thru the exam for 9 hrs and still not lose focus. i keep thinking about it and how the atmosphere will be for the exam just to prepare myself for the exam mentally too. i hope it helps. but reading should not go awry and i must get back to reading now. going slow but still getting good sizeable portions out of my way. i must finish the substance abuse chapter today. i somehow cannot remember all those drugs and their withdrawal symptoms and all that. has someone found an easier way to remember all that.

Change of heart this morning...didn't do psych as planned.I go to the library on weekdays and can concentrate better there...so I figured I'd save the psych topics for the weekend.Took up OB...haven't been able to do as much as I wanted to but I still have the evening to get some more work done.Its weird but I find myself wanting to "subject hop" more and more these days...as long as I am reviweing stuff I guess its alright.Before I turn in tonight...get at least two more OB chapters in and go over some IM.
achilles...I have a table for the drugs from step 1 with some addons......its a bit tedious to go thru but definitely helps get a better perspective cos its all in one place.I just scanned it for you and I am trying to attach and post it here but it just won't work!I'll try again tom.

study was going on good until today. had to do some work on my applications-personal statement and stuff...i am fed up...left it and will not think about it till my exam now. back to reading...back to usmleworld...i hope i can get thru with this exam in a good way.

If its any consolation....I havent even started on my applicationa dn personal statement.I think its best to get these exams out of the way and then cross the other bridges when we get to them

hey isther, how was your exam buddy ? do let us know of your experience once yu get the result which i am sure is going to be very very good.
i am taking my step 2 on 2nd august. thanks for stopping by and giving my morale a much needed boost. any tips for the exam from yu will always be handy so just drop a line whenever yu can. good luck.

achilles...well, I am trying to maintain some form of balance between reviewing and mini-panic attacks....which is why I am going a bit too slow for my liking....but I guess as long as we are moving along its alright.Going over medicine right now and then peds...will be left with over a week for a quick final review.Take care.

Hi everyone,
Good to see you people keeping each other going.....
Just came back from a long vacation and i am feeling good. The scores are out and its a 94.... It means more then a 99/280 to me.
On the personal end too things are settling down....
Thank you everyone for your prayers and wishes which kept me going through all those tough times....
I will start my prep for application in a couple of days.... Would be glad if i can be of any help to all you step2 takers.....
And wish you all a very good luck. Hope you people acheive what you have been aiming for and wish all of us together will get through this tedious process of application......

alright a BIG CONGRATULATIONS buddy...yu did it and thats a very good score. i am happy for yu. and now onto the next step - CSA. but i guess yu have already finished CSA so drkpp yu must be ready for the 2007 match ! good luck buddy.
and as for me i have the exam on 2nd august. lemme know whatever tips yu have for me. i am a little tensed up for the exam and i hope i clear it. there are some topics which i do not understand well so i am going over them one at a time. lets see what happens.

Yup, am already done with cs but the next biggest thing is to decide uon what speciality to apply for. i am debating over int. med. or family med. Just bought imersons getting into residency. Hope it helps........
Let me know when you try out the other nbme forms... Please dont go to the test without getting a satisfactory score on the nbme's. Its quite accurate.......
And study, study and study. The answers i would say have to come out reflexly without you actually putting in an effort to give it a thought. Time waits for no one. I am sure you are doing just that.
