Normally in general people averagely sleep 8 to 10 hours. per day. But I think a medico should sleep for 6 to 8 hour. The most important thing to remember is Consolidation of memory takes place in REM sleep which is in latter part of sleep. ............ Moreover one can recover only half of the REM deficit if one tries to recover the it after. Most IMP is to have regular Sleep Wake cycle. Thats all I can suggest.............. What I do is start my day at 7 Am and go to sleep at 12 AM thats appro 7 hours of sleep.

my sleep pattern is all screwed up too. i am a very moody kind of person, so like to study ony when i feel like which happens very few times. have been preparing for a while now but averaging no more than 2 hrs a day. and besides once i get hooked on to videogames the day passes by in a fraction of time... but nevertheless have not played a single game in the last 3 days- proud of myself and yesterday was the best studies for almost 6 hrs including 2 hrs of test.... today gonna try and beat that personal record of mine

i think the best approach would be like sharvil says-study hard,do your best-but on the test day try to relax and take it like it's computer game-and it's called doing your best. i know it sounds wierd-but sometimes when i'm answering the questions and doing fine-when i think "just imagine if it was real test"-my heart starts pounding etc-anxiety,anxiety.......so autotrening is a good thing overall.
