ECFMG cert how important?

i wanted an opinion from all .

does it matter if you are not certified around this time of the application season.......how many calls can one miss out on because he/she is not yet certified?even if its a matter of 2-3 weeks within which status will change to ecfmg certified.

my step 2 ck result is delayed cos of the fred thing so my cert is also delayed.

how much will this harm me in terms of getting calls?

getting worried cos i have only 2 calls till now with no rejections.

please reply.i will really appreciate that.

i think certificate doesnt matter much, but step 2 ck scores matter a lot. if u have step 2 scores available but ecfmg certificate not available, doesnt matter much.

Many, many applicants each year aren't ECFMG certified. As long as you are certified by the time of match, you should be okay.

WAT is the lastest date by which step 2 ck results must be in.

I am asking becoz of fred delay. Wil i miss ALL interviews?

same here ....i am waiting for step 2 ck and worrying that i might lose out on interviews cos of that.
