hi,
congraulations, great achievement , getting into good program one has dream of.
I am an IMG and wanted to know that, you did observational clerkship in obgy/gynec, and what about work experience?
I saw you have 1 yr of work experience can you specify that you did at your home country or in USA.
I just recently given my step 1 and score 90,and preparing for futher step , planning to apply for 2006 match.
If its possible can you give me the list of hospitals you applied for.
so advice me that what are requirements, which is helpful.

Hello lancer,
I did my clerkship at LSU, New Orleans. I have been onr of the wards and quality control supervisors in one very good hospital in my country. It is a job that exposoed me to everything clinically and administratively.

Congratulations to you! I want to apply OB/Gyn too,but I am an old IMG and my scores of step1 and step2ck are just in the mid-80s. I've got my certificate.Not taking step3 yet.I do not need H1 however. So what is the chance for me to get into residency this year through scramble? Would you please send me your valuable documents? Hello Sophia1,
I think with your score, you will be able to get something during post match period. Did you ever apply to any program? how many interviews did you get? I applied mostly to midwest and northeastern part of USA. The document I have will not help you for scramble because we dont know if they will have unfilled positions or not. I advice you to be agressive during post match, I am quite sure you will get something. If you need any additional thing you should let me know.

Im planning for obs gyn too....Im going to take my step 1 in may first week...and my aim is to get something in 90s which Im hoping I will get...I graduated in 2005 and have i year clinical experience after my internship in India where I live in the obs gyn depratment aas junior doc...and I want to apply for HI programmes..I have no one to guide me..plz can u guide me on this that what chances do I have and what else should I do inorder to match....I think I will have to participate in 2008...as I have step 2ck, cs nain step 3 left..can u help me plan it out..and also plz tell me the list of hosp I should be applying.my email id is meetnikko@yahoo.com.

hi,
im an img from india. scores 85/83/passed. observership in ob/gyn for 6 weeks.2 us lors.GC holder. graduated 2004. applied for ob/gyn last year to 32 programs -got 5 interviews. did not match.
thot this mite be usefull info for other ob/gyn buffs.
