I always keep a suit and dress shoes in my hand carry, iv already lost my luggage before an iview this season, so none of u take the risk! Plus...most major airports are allowing liquids and gels in sealed plastic bags so girls u can sneak in a lipstick and some eye make-up! Have fun!!!!

first let me say, that this is a great thread!! Do or should girls button up their suit jackets?

  #79

This is the best thread i agree. My fashion designer imagination is full on ideas for winter fashion.

I dont know much about girls though, but how about this super idea! when they are standing button jacket, when they sit down, unbutton jacket.

I would not know for sure because i only have robot buttons on my attire. i am sure you ve seen it.

May the empire be with you always. GL

Hello everyone,
I know interviews are over and everyone is waiting for Match results.
GL to everyone. In prep for 2008 MATCH i am posting this Q.

This is a grt thread and it helped me to buy the right business suit I wanted with a beige silk shirt from Ann Taylor outlet for 120$. It is a very smart suit picked up by my dear hubby !

Anyways the Q is :

I want to know how should the shirt collar be ..should it be outside the blazer collar or should it be inside it?

Thanks

I forgot that one should not put hair oil on ones hair..............Hair oil is something Americans cant comprehend hence they dont appreciate the smell of the hair oil in my community its accepted to put coconut hair oil as part of standard dress up protocol and.............I did so for all my IV's

shaking head

I hope and pray it did not affect me.............Guys beware dont use hair oil

I know what you r thinking The things that people do But its something that I did not realize.

Too late ....too late................you guys and gals dont make tha same mistake..use hair gel

Bye for now and like the natives here say GL

Depends on the shirt. Some will look better in - some out....

A silk shirt from Ann Taylor would be different than a man's shirt - cut of the suit and shirt will dictate in or out. A man's shirt - in. Definately in.

really great thread..

silenced md.. I think someone in this told earlier that around half of people were wearing black suits.. so you can wear that for sure.. but if you want to look little different you can choose another options..

to elektra.. really from the link couldnt make out much.. but I guess if its fitting you well & not too tight then it will be good.. since trouser is low waist.. I think if jacket is long enough so that no shirt peeks from back then it would be fine..

good luck

bbb...this is for oyu. I have scheduled a second look into a program...Any advise on the dress code. I just have to meet the program PD. I didn;t intv with him on the intv day.

As i have asked all the stereotyped questions during intv, what can I ask him during the meeting?

Second look and meeting with the PD? Dress professional. What to ask him? I don't know. What else do you want to know about the program?
