Also Klebsiella and Proteus mirabilis.Hospitalized patients with catheters have prostatitis involving staphylococci or gram negative pathogens, Pseudomonas in particular. Gram-positive bacteria cause prostatitis, particularly Staphylococcus aureus and enterococci.

do gonorrhea or chlamdia have the potential to cause prostatitis

Theoretically they do,but most urologists debate about that.

Some of them say that you'll never see a case of Chlamydia or Gonoccocus prostatitis.

Some say that you will,but it's not amongst the primary causative factors anyways,so for Boards we can hopefully forget them....
