Can someone please tell me how acetazolaminde and progesterone can treat central sleep apnea ???(kaplan notes pg 292, 2002 edition)

progesterone has a direct respiratory stimulation effect. (one of the reason why we have rep. alkalosis in pregnancy) acetazolamide can cause acidosis and hence stimulate respiratory centre and thus decrease apnea..
