hi there!!! it's nice to find someone who's gone through what I'll have to go through someday... Are you from San Martin as well? Tell me about your experience with USMLE... I'm thinking of having the exam (Step1) by the beginning of 4th year (I'm having a tough time with 2nd year but I like it). I only have time to study during holidays (dec + jan + feb + july) so I'll start preparing myself in december 2005. I'll buy First Aid and Kaplan Qbook,,, do you think that's enough? Should I buy Kaplan Home study program?... byebye & take care

I think you will need more text books (kaplan maybe) but you will find other resources too.

you go through the match ONLY after getting some interviews, If you did not get any so youc annot "match"

Hi drrabines I am a peruvian medical doctor too. I studied with your brother Gustavo, I think. My step2 will be on February. I have only three months to study for CK . Could you give me some advices. Dou you think that´s enought Kaplan and blue prints materials or I need something else. For Surgery I have only blue prints. I will write you by email to keep in touch.

Hi, i'm also from lima peru, already passed step 2 and i only studied from blueprints series (all of them, medicine, obs, ped, psyq, surgery, cardiology, neurology and emergency medicine), the first aid and usmleworld (is a very good internet qbank, maybe better than kaplan). I got a very good grade and now i'm starting to study for step 1.
