hello everybody!

i'm finally back now.

have some changes to my schedule:

i'm not going for match 2006-lost too much time with this moving plus have some family business to take care of-so....

i'm a little disappointed,but i guess that's life.

my UW is between 52 and 63-never got any higher than that-but i don't want to take chances.i also don't have any LRs-another piont to work on...

but i'll be around-this site is like a magnet-can't live without it,lol.

see you around

Hi alenka, I was reading some of yoru older posts where you had said that it takes about 3 hours for you to complete one block of UW. Exactly how it works for me! Have you completed UW now? My UW score is about 50 too. I am glad to be learning so much from UW and trying to not let the scores worry me. What are you upto now? Still planning on taking the exam in december?

hi,Lisa!

i'm still doing UW-not even half way trough yet.my scores are between 52 and 63,with overall 57.

about my test in december-i don't know, probably i'll go ahead and give it a try-who knows-maybe i'll pass.don't want to waste my chance and money.

how about yourself?when are u taking your test?

  #58

Hi Alenka, I have set 23of Feb 2006 as my date for CK, but I am not sure as my studies are hardly going according to plan.

Hope you will be taking NBME to asses if you are ready for CK in december.

hi, good luck for your study and exam. btw, what resources you use for emergency medicine? thanx

  #60

hi,wheat bear!

all my resources are kaplan books and first aid-nothing else.now i'm feeling like even these books is too much for me,lol.

i think you don't need any more resources if you know kaplan books well-the point is to pass the test well-isn't it?

good luck

hello to everybody!

i'm back now.

was gone out of the country for a long time, but had the best time with my family.

now i'm well rested and ready to study again.

as i mentioned befor-i didn't go to take CK-but actually i should have-i was ready i guess.

well,it makes no scence now to complain-i have to start getting ready.want to take the test by the end of May.

hope all of you guys are doing just fine.

wishing you good luck with your studying.

see you around.

  #62

well,my studying is going-slowly but surely.

finished rewing the internal med,now doing pediatrics.planning to subscribe again for usmleworld.

last time i did mixed questions and it wasn't working for me too well-this time i want to try doing questions by subject.do you think it's good idea?or mixed testes are better?

good luck to all.

  #63

reviewing ob/gyn now.

it's going sooooo slowly.planning to read 40 pages today-but in reality it can only be 20-patetic....

we'll see.

  #64

dont loose it alenka....

slow is definately better then no prep at all.

i would still recommend mixed blocks. Only one score counts and that is on the real exam. Dont get bugged by the usw or other qwbank scores. Use it as a learning tool instead.

goodluck

hi,drpp, good to see you are around.

how is your studying going?when are you planning on taking the test?

yes, definately to study slowly is better that not to study at all.i'm gonna try to get at least a little bit done within next few days-BD partynod

GL to you all.

P.S.i get so tired and bored from reading the same subject for too long,so now i switch the subject whenever i get bored-oh,don't know where this tactic will take me.....

  #66

haven't been studying for a week-all these holidays can be quite exhausting...

starting psychiatry today.planning to read at least 40 pages.

but for now-need to get some sleep.

happy easter to everybody.

  #67

congratulations on your marriage,drkpp!-good to hear at least some of us find time for private life wink.

my regimen is screwed up again-sleeping in the day-studying at night-i don't care about it anymore-i need to get the knowledge in my head-no matter how and when....

doing ob/gyn.

not doing any qs yet-have to start already...

  #69

Finally!

i have subscribed to UW!!!!

will start with GI today.

i decided to do first-timed,by subjects-46 question from each subject. Then, the rest of the questions to do timed,mixed-that way i'll get both- to study and to check myself.

good luck to everybody

  #70

what a big day!-i have taken my first UW test.

did it mixed,timed-jsut the opposite of what i planned(i figured-what the hell-i gotta keep in mind all the concepts, not just one subject).

well,i did.....who could have guessed?-67%

i haven't done any single question since december,so i'm very proud of myself-sounds silly but i've learned to be happy about even little things because BIG success consists of these small victories made daily.

smile wink

  #71

did a little bit of surgery today-feel a lot better.

another my weak point is rheumatology-need to review it very badly.
