TOOK EXAM ON 22 SEPTEMBER, 12 CASES,
remember guys all the cases were easy daily routine cases nothing special with them,but exam depends on how you handle the cases as you do in daily out patient dept.
wash hands b4 all pe's follow pamhugsfoss and siqoraaa.
ask patients before u leave the room if they have any doubts or concerns?
u will be fine.
Well now i have some time to put in more here it is.
Also donot forget to drape the patients when ur to examine,be courteous to patients,even though they might be grumpy
Remember there is always a reason if a patient is acting to be grumpy,either he/she is asked to behave that way by sp tutor or u have irritated the patient.
There was a patient who had come in with some acute pain who was very grumpy,but i talked thru with him and managed to do my pe.
I used kaplan cs book and watched videos on UW,i think kaplan cs book is more than enough to glide u thru thru exam.
totally 12 cases, a break of 30 minutes after 5 caese, a breal of 15 minutes after next 4 and then thru with last 3 cases.
please donot ever tend to discuss and try and find out about the cases with ur fellow examinees,they m ight kick u out,one of the docs in our centre was warned for doing this,remember always wherever ur BEHAVE!!, belive me electronic eyes r watching u all the time.
Even after exam few guys turned up in the car when i was walking down the street and started asking about the cases,we refused to talk to them.
but behind all these hypes is a simple exam which u can clear even without much medical knowledge!!, yes belive me if u behave nicely with patients and do atleast 60-65% of ur things u will be ok(even though i havent got my result yet am trying to put in my best to help u guys

REMEMBER BE NICE TO PATIENTS,!!! BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY WILL BE MARKING YOUR MARKS SHEET!!! TRUE.

in terms of pass or fail, how much weight is on patient note?? i saw numerous posts with regard to scoring about 65% correct on patient encounter but none seem to address the matter of patient note.

how many times one should practice?
from where to practice?
is UW examination correct can we just follow them ?
how to complete neuro exam in 4 min?
