In which defect would you find meconium/feces draining through the umbilicus?

a - gastroschisis
b - omphalocele
c - diaphragmatic hernia
d - pulmonary hypoplasia

  #2

gastroschisis.

  #3

The answer is omphalocele; feces draining thru umbilicus is assoc with fistula with vitelline duct (omphalocele). By the way, urine draining thru the umbilicus is assoc with allantois.

  #4

omphalocoele!

  #5

Onphalocele=> midgut loop fails to return to yhe abdominal cavity, no fecal discharge!!
Vitelline fistula=> vitelline duct persist, forming connection intestinal lumen/outside - there is fecal discharge

  #6

omphalocele
