Hi

I really appreciate your kind spirit and the time and effort u put in to help others...have been following ur posts for a while and was wondering if u could guide me thro' this difficult situation that I m in.

I m 2002grad. IMG with step1 step2 scores 94 and 96 respectively. I m to take step2CS in late Dec. I dont have USCE or USlors. As for now, I dont even have a US Visa. I want to apply for 2006 match. Can I start the application process while still in India? Can u please tell me if i have reasonable chances of getting a residency if I take my CS that late?

Thanks in anticipation.

People start the application process around the world, I don't see why India would be a problem. I tell my applicants that they should have their ECFMG certification by the time that I have to submit the match list.

Thanks BBB and 99doc for ur kind response. But my question is somehow still unsolved. My point is even if I apply, will I get any interviews given the fact that I m not present in US?

YES!!! I invite people from around the world who aren't in the USA when they apply. And some use friend and family USA addresses, so the ones that I believe are in the country are in Belize, Bahrain and Bangladesh!

Good luck
