answer is Bone loss, Proptosis is a sign of graves disease, atrial fibrilation rather then coronary artery disease is common with hyperthryroidism. Toxic andenocarcinoma can metstatise to bone and can also cause bone loss.

usw says that hyperthyroidism is associated with hyperlipidemia. doesnt that imply that hyperthyroid patiennts are more prone to CAD.

wel CAD will be the ultimate complication if hyperthyroidism is untreated, coz adenomas are usually benign and toxic here implies its hyper activity* and proptosis is a sign accompanying with Grave`s i think the question might have more information like age of pt,if female

I think how long pt is suffering from this disease matters. As proptosis will take time to devlop.Immidiate complication can be cardiac .Look even treatment wise we use Propanol in such condition.I have no idea ab bone loss but Hyperlipidemia is caused by hyptyroidism withtoxic adenoma given in Kaplan.

i was not aware that toxic adenoma can cause proptosis. i think it would be cad secondary to hyper lipids. proptois is typical of graves.

same here. proptosis i think is out of question. if its for step2 i wld always associate proptosis with graves and not with any other type of hyperthyroidism... well may be in reality anything is possible but for boards its classic. lucky i had the same doubt cause both bone loss and cad can occur in hyperthyroidis if left untreated...
