most of the cells remain in which part of the cell cycle?

Go phase. If there is a specific stimulus, the cell can come back to G1 phase and proceed to S, G2 and M.

ya thats right, G0 phase but is there any difference b/w the labile and the stable and permanent cells phase, tell if u know

there are 3 types of cell populations: 1. PERMANENT - those which are always in Go phase (e.g. neurons, skeletal myocytes, myocardiocytes) so they don't divide, 2. STABLE - the cells which are in Go phase, but if there is a great need, they can go to S and proceed to division (hepatocytes, endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells), 3. LABILE - the cells which divide continuously (blood cells, epithelial cells)
