Hi all:
I applied to 38 programmes all of them in pathology. So far I´ve got a thank you¨letter from the university of tennessee at knoxville, saying that my appplication is under review. and one rejection from university of Texas southwestern because of the large number of applicants.
4 programmes haven´t even downloaded my documents. howard univ. lenox hill, thomas jefferson univ. and mount sinai in miami. my question is if they are still in the match or what the heck?.
my credentials are: 217/88, 242/98, passed, ECFMG certified, 1 international publication with US co authors, 3 month US observership, 3 LOR´s from US doctors, 7 month volunteer research assistant at the UVa. But I think my caveats are that I am an old medical graduate 1997 but active since then doing a residency in general surgery which I finished in 2004.
my only hope is what everybody is saying: ¨wait till October, is too soon yet¨. I really hope this is true cause I started to freak out.

does anybody know why some programmes have not downloaded the applications yet?

similar for me...applied to 30 programs in Pathology...got a thank you letter from musc (south carolina) and rejections from johns hopkins, Duke and Texas southwestern....(so far)_
waiting for more rejections today  .....but got one interview from Emory....working there since last october in research for the Chief of CP department...got a LOR from her! Did observership in Pathology and got another LOR from Cytopathologist.... ...BUT they invite about 100 applicants and then chose only 7 .....feeling low about myself....although when I think logically we all can be sooooo proud of us.....but nobody seems to recognize that!
2 more LORs from my home country...did 3 years of CP training in my homecountry....
just wanted to tell you that there are programs that havn't downloaded my application....
I'm an old Graduate too (1999).....
I really hope we'll be given a chance to prove ourselves!

PS Why did you chose Pathology after a general surgery residency????? (Sorry, no interview question, just curious )
