Dear BBB, Hmmm thats the mystery of life!!!!!!!! On the first basis u would have rejected the application even if its 99/99/99 on some ground right,u wont look at the name and say the names funny so i will reject it right!! so there is a reason fr everyone being rejected and a feed back would do a world of good for anyone the next time he applies....instead of wasting so much money and effort doing the wrong things and waste time ....prog coordinators would then be blessed and not cursed that they rejected!!!! oops sorry i became too much emotional... anyway that was a good debate

Hi njccmd 2002, When did u apply.I have applied on sept 1st and just got my 19th rejection today from east Tennesse university. Why dont u apply for around 50 programs.I sincerely advice u to do that.I applied with 83/89 to around 100 programs but see my result. If I were u I will definitely think abt this.Your scores are good no doubt, but this year I dont know whats the problem.I am thinking of applying to family Medicine too. Good luck to u

thanks, skdoc. Unfortunately i applied last week. Reason i cannot apply to more programs is because they are to far away. I only have 7 days i can use as vacation on my current job. And traveling by plane is not an option. (money wise) I have found on FMG america the requirements for IM and FM. Ant most of the programs i applied to i do met their requirements. However, i dont know. maybe ime getting anxious. MAYO FM had a deadline of december on freida however FMG says it was october. So there is plenty conflicting info out there. With my scores where would you recommend i apply. I live in near Fort Benning and have applied to most progs near me in GA, AL, FL (panhandle). thanks in advance http://www.fmgamerica.com/lists.html Copy and Paste

Hi njccmd 2002, I really want to help u but understand my position I dont even have one interview. If I had one I would think abt what scores are sufficient to apply in which Univ or hospitals. Most of the people in forums suggest to apply in community colleges with our scores but I did apply to many of them and no answer. I can understand ur problem abt travelling, but unfortunately most of the IMG friendly colleges are in the north east region, there is plenty of scope to get a position in areas like New York.As u r open to family medicine also, this is ur best bet.And coming to financial issues,if u get even 2 interviews u can take a risk because it is worth it .Afterall we spend around 5000$ for the exams itself.Let another 500$ go into that, but if u get a residency it is invaluable. Also I like to know if u have visa problems,do u have USCE ? Sorry I couldnt help u more. I will try to find out some colleges that can fetch us an interview and get back to u. Good luck to u

hi bbb, whats the reason to reject applicant with 99/99 most common as u see in your experince, what things go wrong with them. 1. Number of applications that programs receive 2. Number of applicants with 99/99 has dramatically increased over the years - it's pretty common to see scores that are just great - but programs can not interview everyone. 3. If I have 100 applicants with 99/99 and 50 have PR/Citizenship and 50 need a visa, the 50 that don't need a visa would be looked at first (sorry, it's the truth). 4. Number of applications received. 5. Number of applications received.
