in PTSD, the treatment is psychotherapy (individual or group) and symptom-directed drugs (TCAs, MAOIs, SSRIs, B-blockers, depending on the symptoms).

Source: Psychiatry, blueprints.

grin you´re welcome drkpp!

I have reviewed more and i think the key word in Pharmacologic tx in PTSD is SYMPTOM-DIRECTED (First Aid also includes benzodiazepines, even lithium in some cases. So yes, you could use benzodiazepines but they aren´t first line) drugs.

But the most demonstrated in studies are 1) SSRIs; and in 2nd place) MAOIs, and TCAs.

I hope to be clear rolling eyes .
