u do an operation for appendicitis on a young lady, and when u open up u find the cause is an ectopic, what will u do... u do an operation for tubal ligation on a lady and when u open up u find that she has a malignant ovarian tumour... what is the answer in the first case and in the second... both re kaplan questions, and how do u differentiate this is an emergency or not choices for both re a. close , let the patient get up from anasthesia, and then take informed consent b. immediately, perform the other procedure c. take consent from the ladys husband d. call in a specialist

for the first b same as kpp coz ectopic pregnancy is dangerous. for seconde ans is a as kpp coz she can handle the tumor. you can not operate without letting her know about that. It is not life threatening right now.

gotcha thanks guys, ya i thought that malignant ovarian tumour were also dangerous like the ectopic but ectopic is emergency good and thanks

Well the thing is you can never remove a woman's ovary without her consent.It is another thing with an inflamed appendix or an ectopic.
