Hi BBB, I see u r pretty busy both at work and at forum.U sually I ask for help from ALL ppl on forum but this is a confusing matter for me and I think u r at the right position to answer me.So plz help.I live in Phoenix AZ and don't have an option of moving cz my kids are set in schools and my husband has a set practice here.I have only 4 IM prog available here in Phoenix.IM is my first choice but it seems risky to rely on only 4 prog where ppl are sending 100s off applications.My Question is ....Shud I apply to other specialities like FP,Paeds...ect.I am getting mixed advices.Some say I shud some say it give a bad impression and u wo't get matched to either one .I deally I don't want to do that (if I know for sure that I am getting the residency) but now I am confused what to do.Plz throw ur input on this issue.God bless u for helping us all.

 Anybody????? Plz ...Is it ok to apply for diff spcialities an the same 4 hospitals?Thanks in anticipation

It's probably ok to apply to both FP and IM at the same hospital since they overlap. Peds is really quite different.
