i think i said this before in response to someone else's post. i know someone who got 79 on step 1 on second attempt n 82 on step 2 on first, n she got in residency, doing it in internal med in ohio right now. this is when she didnt apply for familymed n didnt apply in ny. i am mentioning this cuz most of family med remains unmatched n empty n also most FMGs get in ny. so keep your hopes high, study hard n give it a shot second time. everyone gets in a residency eventually

IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A RESIDENCY IF YOU FAILED A STEP THEN SUBSEQUENTLY PASSED NEXT ATTEMPT. YOU ARE NOT THE FIRST PERSON TO HAVE FAILED. ACCORDING TO THE STATISTICS, MANY PEOPLE FAIL EVERY YEAR. DO NOT DWELL ON YOUR FAILURE, BUT INSTEAD CONCENTRATE ON WHAT'S AHEAD OF YOU.
