Hi, we have to plan first, when to participate in match, according to that we can plan, Rt. In this froum most of the people says we need 5 to 6 months for step 1. i am planning some where near feb or march, what do u say.
Dont confuse, we peoples no other choice, we have to go through this,instead of wasting time in thinking, we can go ahead rt.
Keep in mind, the ecfmg peoples atleat need a month to give u orange permit.

HIIII,Thanks for reply, I havnt plan yet,for exam,planing to join kaplan live course,dont know wht will happen, studing and studing but dont have confidence much.Dipti ,can you tell me how you are studing biochemistry?memorozing?I am studing kaplan lecture notes,first aid and goljan.is that enough?

Hi tanushree, i am also using the same material. i think it is more then enough, do u have kaplan question book, if u dont have pls have one, as soon as u finish each subject u can do the question and also u can check for question for each chapter.( i think it will give u confidence, for me after doing this i got little confidence) .

hey tanushree i havent started biochem yet,i gonna read kaplan,first aid and lippincott charts...have you read lippincott before?i found the charts easy to understand...this is very volatile subject for me...even if you understood you have to keep memorising many things in biochem,so i gonna do that.....venkatesh is right,you have to solve Q books to boost up your confidence....when are you planning to give exam?

Congrats on your score. i'm also an img from india, originalyy from michigan. I just finished the kaplan course... i'm plannin to take step 1 in dec. should i review all of the material again before starting qbank or should i do qbank along with reviewing the material?.

I'm in the same boat as u. I'm writing in dec and all i have done is one reading of all of the kaplan stuff. Starting this Friday I am starting q-bank 100 to 150 a day. I feel like re-reading is like doing q-bank. The questions will tell u where u stand and from ur scores of q-bank u'll know what to study and what ur weak areas are. I feel like I don't have time for a lot of reading. But i can tell u one thing, that questions are the key. So keep doing what ur doing, all the best.

Hi, dipthi kaplan is good for anatomy but i use my school text book in addition if i want to know some thing more. otherwise kaplan is more then enough.just go through that,
How many files are there for cell injury in goljan, only one rt.

hey venkatsh,i have cell injury of free radical disscussion 4th on download list...but i havent downloaded all of them....are they 34?or 27.....please tell me...
i am doing ok...its a bit hard to manage study with marraige,as i study only half time...ihave a question....if i applied and i took a center for test and i moved to other place befo exam can i change the center in same fees or i have to reapply newly?

Hi dipthi, i have 34 files but tanushree mailed me, she have 37 file. so what can we do now. i am in puzzle now. i asked tanushree to mail me if posible, i dont know is it possible to mail such a big file.
Next about location, only u cant change your testing region ( means if u fix your testing region in usa, but u want to take in asia then u have to repay fees) other wise u can take any where in usa.

Hi tanushree, it will be too early i think. Best time is november 1 st week. mean time get ready with all documents. among them important are Degree certificate, name verification.
Their is a spelling mistake in the website u have given it must be www.doctok.com.

Hi dipthi, let me put in this way. after sending your application and fees, the ecfmg people will verify your documents and then they will send u orange permit.
This orange permit will have your ECfmg number, and CIN number.
After getting this number u can go ahead and register the center.
u can choose what ever center u want, thier is no restriction in that.
They are only concerned with testing region.
Even if u fix the center and you want to change, u can change within the usa.
(ex- if u fix your testing center in New york and u want to change for california, u can)
SO U CAN CHANGE YOUR TESTING CENTER WITHIN USA, WITH OUT ANY ADDITIONAL FEES. ( I THINK 7 DAYS BEFORE THE TEST DATE, I AM NOT SURE, CHECK ECFMG )
About my studies, i am going very slow, i finished Gross anatomy, i starteted neuro anatomy today. what about u. what are u studying.
