vikki, thanks but i do worry about interviewing at these programs. They might rank the AMGs higher than IMGs, so i dont know ... risky!
Hey do you guys want to come together and chat about interviews on this website? It would be great if we could go thru some possible interview qs and what to ask them and discuss abt the programs, etc. Say 7pm EST in the chat room here...?

hi all!
sanz, ya u rock! dont worry about interviewing at these ranked prog., u know, u are among the very few IMG's to get invites from these top prog, obviously they like ur package,so u also have a good chance of them ranking you high on their list once u interview. GL and i'm sure u will do great, dont psyche urself out by thinking ur chances are poor coz they arent, do ur best for the interview, ur bound to land one good prog among the many u have.
i like the idea of the chat too, its great, better than just posting it here, so i am in, lets try to make the hours more flexible and arrange the chats, whoever can make it can join. People can say which dates they would be available for a better time arrangement.
keep us posted. like tomorrow, 11th, I can be there from 7 pm eastern on.

what documents we should take with us to interview. most of interview invitations didnt mentioned anything abt any documents they wish to see. and also if we do take documents , do we take original documents with us on interview.

Dr Singh, I'd say take the originals with you.

hey usmlevikki, it would be great to travel together to the interview!!!....but i'm not sure if i'll schedule my interviews that early....coz i'm leaving day after tomorrow for Chicago for my Step2CS....wish me luck guys!!!

cograts those with interviews, am so down cause my LOR arent uploaded yet, more than 10 days since i sent it, i am now wondering if i should call eras , if they dont upload it tomorrow, does anyone happen to know if they have a phone serivice or should i just email them.

I think you can call ecfmg too. I did that when my lor was not downloaded. They say it takes atleast two weeks ( business days)

Not applied to SYRACUSE.ROCHESTER requires USCE. SANZ MAN you are collecting invites from top peds programs. "3 months of clerkship as student in USA (2mo in peds), working as a research assistant in peds, has 1 yr experience in peds.".... this is working for you great. Dont feel jittery for your interview i think they would love to take you in as resident.

hey all i am also interested in peds but i have a question.. can we start our own private practice as pediatricians ? Maybe like a group practice ? I heard from somewhere that pediatricians dont have practices they have to work in a hospital only
Please enlighten me .. And also is peds too busy ? I mean the work hours etc are they more than medicine or family practice

talk about slowing down, its shutting down, i take it that there isnt much new with most of us, and the wait is kind of frustrating. but i guess we will have to make do with what we have in our hands.
anyway, vikki, how do u mean practice? please clarify. i agreee that its now time to prepare for interviews. i guess maybe we could discuss about programs we have in common? i think that would be good.

As previously mentioned , we can fix a time to discuss different programs, different interview questions and different interview experiences.If fixing the time is a problem, we can keep writting things here . I bet SANZ has collected few more jem of interviews.
