i have been doin usw recently have ended up gettin all the q on this topic wrong well most of the mixed disorders.

the kaplan notes does not give it in this much depth.

came acrossa question where there was triple disordersconfused

its freakin me out. do we really need to know all this stuff about delta anon gap and god knows what???????

if so please recommend some good resource which explains things in laymans terms- boards and wards has a few flowcharts with abbreviations which took me 2 hrs to understand...

grin yeah, i have the same trouble, those mixed disorders, i hate them! rolling eyes. I donīt know about a good source (kaplan is regular and blueprints has like 2 pages about it) about it, i just answer what i think and my heart tells me grin. And it works more or less.

You know that there are some rules or tables (i remember they were in the first aid for step 1, i guess) of these mixed acid base disorders.

i thought i was the only one dreading those qestions...wink.......

anyways...i go to a medical college library to study...i picked up secrtes for nephrology.......it has an acid base section which i found pretty decent........not a lot of reading either.i just wanted my concepts cleared...did't have a lot of math or calculations if that is wat u r looking for.......

Toronto Notes..I don't know if it's available where u r..has a brief and understandable section on it..came across it when studyin for the canadian exam
