Hi, everyone . I'm appplying for the Internal Medicine residency 2006 but my dream is Neurology.I got 83 on both steps and now I'm doing research in EP cardiology laboratory and preparing the article to publication about lipids . Obviously my activities are far from Neuro now . I am trying to make my CV more attractive.I did externship for 3 month in a IM program in community hospital 2005 and I am going to continue externship again.I didn't get any chance to do neuro research or to get any neuro clinical experience in US. Still ,please ,how far I am from Neurology .Do I have any chances to get there? Who knows...

ur scores are fine for neuro - i believe it isnt highly competitive. and most of the programs which offer neuro are good solid uni progs - so u will have a good learning experience. drawbacks - fewer (3-4) seats/prog, lower pay l8tr on.. but this yr u are late in applyin for sfmatch. usually u shud have applied in early aug. i have applied to 10progs in neuro this yr - so u can call me a newbie too.. hope a more experienced member will throw some light..
