Hi guys, I heard that some hospitals require CME and clinical observanceships to be done before residency, especially by IMGs. What are these? Can anybody give me the details about these programs? If it is obligatory, how to get into these programs? MT

CME is needed for permanent MD license renewal If you don't have a permanent license, you don't need CME

No not required for training licenses that you obtain for residency and fellowship training. Trainees are exempt from CME requirements. CGR
