A plant with genotype AAbbccDDEE is mated with one that is aaBBCCddee. F1 individuals are selfed.

a.) How many different gametes can an F1 plant produce?

b.) What is the chance of getting an F2 plant whose genotype exactly matches the genotype of one of the parents(P generation)?

Can someone please show me how to work this problem out?

Thanks

U will get 100 different genotypes and no one will match the parent in the first generation. There are favourable chances to get the match in 3rd generation. It is a wild guess, I might be wrong too.
WAITING FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO REPLY. By the way it is a good question.
