If a transfusion becomes necessary during surgery, the physician should

A get a court order to do the transfusion

B get permission from the woman's family to do the transfusion

C give the woman the transfusion but not tell her about it

D replace body fluids but not give the woman the transfusion

E give the woman the transfusion and inform her of it when she recovers from the anestheti

ANSWER D

I think D is correct . The physician should respect the religious beliefs of the patient, no matter how difficult it is for him to understand them.

though u both have answered correctly but i would like to knw wont 'thear. privilage work here ,if need arise u can give transfusion during surgery .....?

No you cannot give her blood even if she dies.Jedowah witness mandates that this belief should be respected. If patient is minor,a prior consent has to be taken from parent. That consent is valid and stands in force even if minor's life at risk.
If you give blood be prepare to face medicolegal charges.

Only blood can be given in one situation ,only one ? Think buddy?

Think over for a day or so.But I am sure blood can be given .

Blood transfusion to occur against parent's wishes, if patient is a minor. The parent can refuse transfusion of blood only for himself.

for minor legally you need to have court order but because you do not have time usually blood is given (Good Samaritan Law).. court will favor the decision later...have not happen yet that decision was opposide... but there is still some risk

  #12

D for sure since you have to honor the request of the patient(specially when she has told you about the blood transfusion).......and if it is minor you should have court orders.

patient is mentally competent and her wish should be respected in any case......D is the correct answer.......nod
