well exam was easy to moderately difficult,almost all the difficult questions had been covered by usmleworld.com
so i would advise you all to usmleworld.com questions thorougly well along with the explanations even of the answers that you got right.
fatigue is the key element of opposition,
the last block i was feeling so sleepy but i still managed. While doing practise I would solve questions at home at 2-3 in
the night while i was so sleepy and I guess that practise of solving questions when you are sleepy helped me a lot.
take a break to wash your eyes after each block. the questions were longer than 1st step but half of the length was bull shit
with TPR BP AND LAB values that were all garbage, what i used to do was read the first line and last line and the options so
that i got my orientation right while reading the question thoroughly......
i got good no of pedia, gynec, less of obs and surgery, and int. med of course is there, 6-7 psychi per block and so it was
evenly balanced, the psychi questions were easier than the 1st step behavioral, the stats were pretty simple.
I had a real comedy of errors in the exam,
1st thing when i reached the 15th floor of penn plaza, i came across the toilet and so i thought this is a golden opportunity
to clear the bowels and as the saying goes, "with your bowels clear your brain is clear", i utilized this opportunity to the
fullest however once i was done with it, it would not let go of me. I could not open the bathroom door,
All hell broke loose, Holy shit, I was going to be locked up in a stupid bathroom at 8 in the morning and no person to answer
to my shouts and on the day of my exam, i figured out a way to open a door but made 5-6 futile attempts but the devil was not
prepared me to release me from hell!!
Finally i took a deep breath and gave all my force to the door and it gave way, O God, why are you testing my patience,
aren't the USMLE and PROMETRIC people enough for me.
What a relief! Not because of the empty bowel but because of the great escape.
Now I entered Prometric Center and got registered and all. The receptionist told me that she could not believe that I was
giving my step 2 ck, I was looking so young, I told her that I was 23 and so I ought to look young, Then she asked me if I
was in Med school and I told her I already graduated.
Finally the exam started, I went inside Sharvil Sheth you can do it..............1st question, I was not completely sure of the answer but nearly sure, O god! My firmly held notion that if you get the first
question right your exam goes right was put to a test. Second question, again the same story, only until 5 questions later I
came across an answer of which I was completely 100% sure of,but then I guess then you dont need to be 100% sure but you need
to be 51% sure to get it right. Now I was into the rhythm and the Flow was on........and suddenly BLACK OUT, the screen went
black!!! O god, what is this going on!!!
I called the proctor and then I went outside he told me that the electric supply got disconnected when I rotated my chair,
anyway they had a backup in the Temporary Folder and so it got loaded and I started back where I had left it. First Block
went great, and then I took the next block and them had a Tang and Toilet break, that is what I did in all the breaks Drink
Tang and go to the Toilet and have a small snack to eat and watch the Telivision ( they had a TV screen).
There was some bird watching to do as well. So I would feel refreshed.
In the fifth block there was a black out as well, but it started again so no probs.
The day of the exam there were these subway bombings in London and so there was so much police everywhere and in my exam I
could hear the loud police sirens everywhere and every five minutes there would be a siren..........
but Now the real GAME of the Match starts,,,,,,,,
Giving exams is the easiest part of the process, because in the exams you are your own opponent there is no third party, just
you and your exam but now all the external factors come into play...
but then life is great and i am enjoying it right now...................

Congratulation!!!!!!! Iagree 100% about ur statement for Q & > 40% is not 100% sure. UW cover most. You got VV high 3 digit score. most 99 preson got around240. I just sit CK, I'm exicting

congratulations!! yr post about way to get 99 is also inspiring. and thanks for writing to expect the unexpected things. one more thing, if u hav any indea to sell yr kap notes for step1 n CK notes, pls. kindly send me a PM or email. thanks.
