Do thye have to be from a US Physician. What about us IMG that have not had a contact with thsi world yet.

I work for a prestigious company, can the letter come from a manager or a Vice president. How will be getting these letters if they don let us practice?

How ironic.. Can anyone answer....

let me answer your questions - they don't have to be from the US physicians exclusively cause we (IMGs) then would not have any chance. So you have to obtain it from your professors or colleagues with whome you worked in your country. Manager or Vice-president can't write you a letter cause they do not practice medicine and those letters would not be taken for serious. So find a physicians you were working with (preferably university professors) and ask them to write you LORs. I hope I gave you some informations.

I both agree and disagree with drmed. As a reviewer of applications, I would be happy to receive a letter fro ma manager or vice-president, as long as there were also letters from MDs. The manager or VP could talk about your ability at team-work, your work ethic and professionalism etc.

Good luck!
