hi everyone..can u plz tell me if a person can apply for step 3 without having any clinical experience at all .i dont have clinical experience in usa or my home country.am i eligible to apply for step 3 in any state at all?????and once if u give step 3 for one state can u only apply to that state for residency or can u apply to other states as well...thank u very much in advance for replying

My ECFMG certif is pending as my cs score report was just on oct 19th. Can I apply to step 3 these days or I have to wait till the certif' comes out?
My interviews are in dec .. so i m thinking to take step-3 in late nov. do u think i will have schedule permit by that time? And how busy are prometric centers? Especially in CT,MD,DE
By the way, dev - how do u find Fisher's?

hi guys
i am back from my second day. i dont have anything to say to anyone cause i dont know how i performed in the exam
first day- its very long day. be prepared. day before sleep early. each block has 48 quetsions. questions are long.pattern has changed i fu have taken step 2 pre-FRED. but not a big problem. lot of preventive. be sure to read the whole question as there is along stem and question in the end asks something else.time was not a problem for me.
second day- 4 blocks, 36 questions, 45 mins each block. i felt better than first day with mcqs.lot of psych.
ccs- totally different story. my system froze in one case. couldnt write diagnosis for that one. i dont know how it will effect me. i am not sure how much of the things given in uw do we have to order. cause there isnt much time for follow up .cases end early with in 10-15 mins.
so guys,please pray for me and hope i will pass.

god bless u for ur exam. Thanks for sharing ur experiences in forum.
I'm worried about ccs after download sample materials& practiced 2 cases. It needs comp skill, need to choose words in order to get quick response. UW cases r just plain text 7 not set in that software. I'm so worried . How u practice ccs. u said ccs finished early, means, Ur t is correct& efficient? i don't know. Can u share how to practice ccs& what material i should used. I thick result will out within 4 weeks . good luck. u r ready for matching at that time.

i think u would ahve read bharatphoenix explaination on the other forum. its agood one. just see what ever is there in the UW and practise it on the cd which usmle sent u. dotn worry that u didnt apply to step 3 yet. cause its teh same cd as for step2. u can practise. it needs lot of practise. be sure what orders are there and short cuts for them will save time in the exam.

If I apply to particular state , can I schedule the exam in other state?
Any experiences in NY?

yes u can. u can write the exam from anywhere after applying from any state.

hey dev, good luck with ur results, no use sulking now.. you better get ready with your interviews.. will pray for you goodluck! pray for me too.. if i manage to get my freaking permit by next week i hope i can sched it before Nov 12 (my interview trail begins the week after this)... ahh.. FSMB is giving me a headache...

may i join your brigade as well,please,got ecfmg certificate today applied for step-3 via connecticut board.Thanks dev for advise on applying.
Studying crush the boards and washington ethics manual,and nms will subscribe for UW next week,and will study step-2 kaplan notes.
How ru guys doing at interviews.
Give me some tips on step-3 guyz.

Can you please tell me where can I find Fisher notes in this website?

Fisher's MCQs & other MCQs are in www.usmleweb.com
some of them resemble UW & Qbook. Anyway Fisher's are the most diff among all 3.
I personally prefer to use well known resources(UW,etc..)
