But you can still apply right? I'm wondering if you apply, get a prematch, then you find out you failed CS... can you still redeem your prematch by retaking it? or do you forfeit it? anyone know?

Since SIVA took it on July 23rd in Philly, the same date we took our exam, and she passed. She got her result in September 02, 2005. Does that mean that we failed since we didn't get our results either?

What i'm saying is apparently there are people who took it on July 23rd and received their results already. One of those people, SIVA, got her result on Sept 2nd and passed. Does the delay in score report have any significance whether we passed or not?

My results took 11 weeks almost and OASIS just updated on Friday morning. I passed. I was worried as well but no one I know who had to wait a long time failed it and the 2 people I know who did fail it got there results relatively quickly. There seems to be NO correlation. For the record, I did get the email after about 9 or 10 weeks. Also, I don't know if you need a visa, but I am waiting for my ECFMG certificate and the programs are still interviewing me without the certificate. They request that it be sent to them asap but that is not effecting interview offers. I am taking CK this week and won't have a cert until November. However, I am a US citizen so maybe there is a difference with the visa people needing the cert before interview.

Rs_es, did you get a high grade on the exam? That might be why you're getting interviews already. I don't know if i should submit or wait for the CS results.

Are you talking of my Step 1? My scores are not even average. You just get pass or fail on CS.

yeah... how many interivews did you get rs_es? What was your score in step1 /step2 and what residency are you apply? I'm a US citizen but an IMG;and I am interested in applying for IM or emergency medicine. What's stopping me is the results for Step 2 CS. I have all of the requiremnets and submitted my LOR, dean's letter, and transcript to ERAS. I'm not sure if I should wait for the result and ECFMG certification or go ahead and apply. What do you think?

None of my friends except 1 has ECFMG cert before applying. I and my friends are all US IMGs. Just apply. Early is better. Apply eary, apply early, apply early
