I got confused by reading some questions on Delirium and Schizophernia. Can any one tell me what is the diff dx between these two.

well delirium is when someone is confused and has recent memory loss, along with loss of conciousness, many different conditions can cause it in the acute setting, like say sepsis etc, delirium is reversible, and the symptoms occur acutely, may be associated at times with visual hallucinations...schizophrenia, is chronic problem where the person loses touch with reality, it may present with negative and positive symptoms..here person has auditory hallucinations
