well delirium is when someone is confused and has recent memory loss, along with loss of conciousness, many different conditions can cause it in the acute setting, like say sepsis etc, delirium is reversible, and the symptoms occur acutely, may be associated at times with visual hallucinations...schizophrenia, is chronic problem where the person loses touch with reality, it may present with negative and positive symptoms..here person has auditory hallucinations hope this works
