who out of the 2 hold more say, living will, or the health power of attorney, well kaplan lectures say, health power of attorney is the trump card...

but please explain

health power attorney cause it means that the person is speaking for the patient as if he was taking the decision.

in otherwords living will is fixed but the power of attor is better cause the judgment can be based on the then circumstanceswink

hope this helps and will not lead to more confusion..

By having Power of attorney you have more legal rights than just the living will. In other words Power of attorney is one step ahead than living will. Both have power to make the decision for the patient, it is just the legal weapon which power of attorney has more.
