Hi, I am a business student working as an intern at a medical school in VA. Currently, I am gathering informatioin as to what helps medical graduates the most to prepare for Step 2 CS. From what I understand in USMLE statistics, the success rate of Step 2 CS among US/Canadian medical students between June 2004 - March 2005 was 96%. (You can check the preliminary result of Step 2 CS at http://www.usmle.org/step2/Step2CS/Step2Indexes/S... target=_blank Here are some questions I have: 1. How are you preparing for CS? What helps (or had helped) you the most? 2. I understand there are seminars/simulations available at Kaplan, Falcon, C3NY, and possibly some other for-profit institutions. But having the Standardized Patient format becoming so prevalent due to incorporation of CS into Step 2 exam, are there not SP programs at your school? If so, are you utilizing the program at your school? How do you think that is helping you prepare for the CS? 3. If you have a choice of simulation type of workshops offered by one of medical schools (besides your school) in the US, would you be intrested in taking advantage of it?
