I took step I last Fri., and can honestly say that I did not feel it was overwhelmingly difficult. On each of the blocks I felt there were between 10-14 questions I was not 100% sure on and therefore feel I may have gotten wrong. Other than that, I felt the exam was pretty well represented on all subject courses....although path is heavier, you just don't realize how many different ways they are asking you the pathology or pathophysiology of a disease.

I guess one could say that I felt well about it overall, but the last few days have been very frustrating because all I can think of is the simple ones that I missed and the ones that I have looked up answers for that I've also got wrong....in short, I'm feeling pretty scared now after thinking about the exam in general.

Anyone have the same feeling after taking their exam? How long does it take before one can try the OASIS trick following the exam?

I have not received my score yet, so I can not say what I did worked out, but I can tell you that I studied for about 4 mos. I read the Kaplan notes x 1. After which I read FA and did nothing but FA and Q Bank for the remainder of my time before the exam. My average was 78% and then did NBME 1 week prior to the exam which was 560 and then did NBME II which came out to 610 one day before the exam.

Although I was encouraged, I did not feel as if I pulled those scores off on the real exam. If I can be of more help, let me know. I am open to questions....however I'd like to know how I did before I give anyone false hope.

If you guys are set to take the exam soon, please concentrate on the BIG PICTURE.

It will give results!!! Hopefully I can relate to you guys a good score even though I feel I did not do so hot.

221/90 !!!

I did the OASIS trick and knew I had passed this morning. I then called one of the programs that I am applying to and they told me they had received the transcripts I had released, step I scores obviously included and they told me.

It's not the greatest score, but it's over. I can finally say that the steps are over.....for the time being.

I posted on the score thread, but basically it consisted of Kaplan books, Q-bank, and FA. I really only read the books once and then only relied on FA and q-bank blocks daily. I also did the NBME prior to taking the exam.

My OASIS trick said I had passed on the 4th thursday after the exam. I then called one of the programs I am applying to and they had already received my USMLE transcripts. They then told me my score. I still have not received my actual score in the mail.
