healthy 33 yr old male.occasional episodes of steady severe abdominal pain with cramping but no diarrhoea.one aunt and cousin cousin have similar episodes.during a recent episode abdomen distended,bowel sounds decreased.neurologic exam shows mild weakness in upper arms.there is a biosynthetic defect in pathway involving which of following:

a.collagen

b.corticosteroid

c.fatty acid

d.glucose

e.heme

f.thyroxine

i'll go with e too, as the others don't fit the criteria very well! would hv been more certain if the episodes included some psychiatric signs!
