 Hi all,
I spent most of my weekend trying to contact people back home for LORs, writing the personal statement (I have only 2 lines to show for my effort)
And preparing for my daughters B'day on the 8th.
Will try to finish endo today.
Simmi.. the endo guy(kaplan) is pretty monotonous..) I find myself really trying hard to stay awake...

hi all howz everyone doing ?
I am getting a little confused, plz tell me shud i read from CMDT too, i havent even looked at it yet, i mean i dont have it, I have Harrison's , but really scared to open it.
I am done with Endo, Rheuma, GIT, Toxicology(just a reading) I will start CVS today. Pl;z friends tell me , if u are reviewing CMDT or not? OR many people talk abt Harrison's pocket book?
Docbug, how r u doing, prepare a real good personal statement, i am sure u know it really matters. & happy B'day to ur daughter , my daughter's B'day is on 24th of next month.

Hi simmi,and all,started to prepare from blueprints the only ntes which I have ,started from Im cvs read 2 chapters some are given concise in the review books they are elaborate in the cmdt I feel but u need to know it all right .I think first reading I thought side by side go also thro the cmdt take notes down and note it down correspondingly in the review book whichever we have .I may be right or wrong anything with which u feel comfortable shuld be fine i guess.All our aim is to score very high 95 + so let us all read ,study and work hard and I have seen hard work really pays even though with long gaps,kids, house it drains us completely nothing like seeing a highest score on our step 2 reulst and shouting hoo hoo at the top of our voice.Whatever it takes us let us all do it Gl to all bbg

Hi Everyone,
Seems like the season for b'days.My younger daughter's 10 b'day is on the 7th.
I am almost done with obs & done part of gynae.I started listening to the videos in the middle so it is taking longer.I have the first 5 dvd's .I need 6 through 9.Can anyone pl help with that.

talk about birthdays!!! My daughter's is on 8th and mine is on 9th next month..
Guys.. I'll need lot of motivation.. My mother in law and sister in law are coming next weekend and are going to be here for 3 months...with her 2 kids below 3yrs..
Going to kiss my baby and get out of the house in the morning by 9am and not go back till 8pm.. Will go and study at my workplace..
Nosha: I will ask my friendsif they have the DVD's.. Sorry I cannot help you as I go to the Kaplan center to watch the videos..

hey guys, got CMDT from University Book store (love to spend time there...........well not always)
Just read afew pages from CVS. Didnt go to the library today, definitely tomorrow.
Birthdays birthdays B'days, forgot mine, it is on 2nd October.

Hi everyone,
I am going so slow.The videos r very good but slow u down.I am done with OB & half of gynae.
I took a block of NMS as diagnostic before I started.Got 30%. .It hurt.I started with step 2 bec I was more comfortable with these subjects.Kaplan notes have a very diff format so I did not not know how i was doing.The good news is that I got 66% in the firstQ-Book test.
This Mon I plan to start a new subject.Is anyone planning to do the same or started a new one this week .I am open .

hey nosha im doing the videos as well as the notes and the videos are slowing me down as well. but i think they are quite good. i finished ob gynae too and plan to start med, inshallah.

I feel like a big fool- I just bought the first aid for step two second edition and third edition is out with 40% more content! Should I buy the new one, or just use the old one?

hi every body i am doing uw still cant manage the time it is a big issue try to do this very advance lisa m iam in the same boat have u seen the book in book store is there a big different and all u who do dvd is ther e big different with note in the end we have to motivate and help each other we need more than 95 happy study every body stay in touch and pray a lot

Well, I have decided to actually go with Crush, because in my very limited study of select topics in both books (i just read dermatology and Cardiovascular systems to compare Crush step two and First Aid for step two 2nd edition) I think that Crush gives most of the stuff you ned to know in an easy to read format. I used First Aid for step one and liked it, so I bought the FA for step two though it is not highly recommended, but it feels like FA just pretty much says stuff we already know and Crush is a smaller and friendlier version for review for Step two.

Hi all, long time since I talked to all.How r everyone's study going on?Was held up with some matters decided USMLE more important than anything else now.Started off with OB&Gy but at snail speed will definetely try to finish by a week or a little more time.Thought will finish smaller subjects first and then tackle the Im which will take longer .Hopefully trying to finish and be on schedeule .GL to all and let us all ace this exam and score 95 + and nothing is impossible in this world and Hard work definetely pays off.Aim for 95+ on our score sheets Best of luck to all bbg

Belated Happy Birthday Simmi.Hope it was fun.
We r all quiet.I did not do anything over the weekend.Ramzan starts tomorrow.I plan to stay up all nite & sleep while the kids r in school.Can't read on an empty stomach.
I don't think there is much of a diff between the 4th & the 5th ed of first aid.I like the the tables at the end for cramming the factoids.Boards & wards is also alright.
95 + we go

Hi simmi,all how rur studies going on?mine OB&GY GOING SNAIL SPEED but ok.Belated wishes Simmi.RU from India?Where ru here now and when planning to take exams?My friend was saying side by side preparing for exams it is better for all of us to try getting some experience here in US as that helps more along with good score .Anything is possible gl to all and here afterwards all our slogan is 95+ we go gl and best of luck to all bbg
